July Housing Minute

The continued shortage of new listings for sale pushed home prices higher in most of the state and led to declines in existing-home sales and contract signings in July.

In the local Frederick Real Estate market, the shortage of inventory has in part, led to multiple offers on homes that are in top condition and priced well for the market.

Demand continues to be strong in Frederick County, as a steady flow of home buyers enters the market every week.

The Value of A Realtor®

Do you know the difference between a REALTOR® and a Real Estate Agent? A REALTOR® is a member of the National Association of REALTORS®, NAR, and are held to a strict Code of Ethics. NAR’s Code of Ethics, adopted in 1913, was one of the first codifications of ethical duties adopted by any business group.

One of the most important things that sets REALTORS® apart from real estate agents is the REALTOR® Code of Ethics. The fact that REALTORS® live and work by a strict code of ethics lets buyers and sellers know that a REALTOR® is someone they can trust to help them with one of the most important transactions of their lives: buying or selling a home.

When buying or selling real estate, always look for the trademark R.
